Thanks for exploring my website

I've always loved nature.

But it took two significant events in my life to truly appreciate its power.

When I was thirty my father died and at thirty-six I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Although heartbreaking, these experiences led me to understand that nature is at the root of all healing, which ultimately motivated me to follow my heart and start Satori.

From there, I wanted to learn a nature-based craft that helped  people connect with the land, so in 2015 I began studying, and subsequently teaching, traditional basket weaving, learning under the auspices of the late English master craftsman Mr. Ivor Hancock.

My personal self-development and fields of study are wide-ranging, from disciplines such as shamanism, being a horse-riding instructor and an experienced reflexologist.

As Satori evolved I realised I also needed skills to support people's mental health. After a three-year post-graduate training, I became a Pesso Boyden psychotherapist. Next, I completed a two-year level-4 Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling, and then undertook a year-long clinical placement in integrative counselling and psychotherapy with Arc in Axminster.

I am committed to ongoing training and professional development to best support the needs of the people I work with as well as the land which nurtures us all.

In 2015/16 I completed the foundation year of Sensory Solutions' herbalists' apprenticeship, followed by a one-year wild food teacher training course with Ffyona Campbell.

Inspired by my cancer journey and whilst undertaking my philosophy degree at the University of East Anglia, I discovered the power of creative writing for wellbeing.

This said, ultimately I know it’s not just my credentials that bring a connection to what I offer. It’s my care for people, my warm spirit and my love of Mother Earth.
