Ever wanted to make a basket? Now's your chance!

We work on a 1 to 1 basis, in small groups of adults, and parent/child bonding workshops. Places are limited so early booking advisable. Tools and willow provided

Weaving Lessons:

(Beginners and Improvers)

For your first lesson, you will...

  • Make a round bottom stake and strand multi-use basket or simple frame basket

  • Learn about the tools needed and where to buy them

  • Learn how to select and soak willow

You can then evolve these skills in future lessons to make foraging/shopping baskets, waste paper bins, oval bottomed baskets, log barrels, plant climbers etc.

We work from Satori, a Nature Based Off-grid Healing Retreat. Snacks and foraged herb teas throughout the day included; bring a packed lunch. Please bring sensible footwear and warm clothes as the barn is open-sided. The compost loo is a short walk away, so wild weeing is encouraged!
