Ever wanted to make a basket? Now's your chance!

All our workshops have grown from our passion for wellbeing of people and the natural environment.

We offer private (1 to 1), semi-private (2 in a group), small groups of adults and parent/child workshops. We also work with specialist groups such as work/organisations, charities, clubs etc.

If the dates and workshops we have on offer don't fit for you or your group, do get in touch and we will do our best to tailor something specific for your needs.

It may be possible to host a workshop at your premises; and, we also offer talks and demonstrations.

Weaving Lessons:

Emma is committed to passing on traditional skills taught to her by the late English Master Weaver, Mr. Ivor Hancock.

... and, to use locally sourced willow.

Places are limited, so early booking advisable. Use of tools and willow provided.

Have a look on our workshops page to see which basket or willow craft you are drawn to making.

You can then evolve these skills in future lessons to make all sorts of things like, foraging/shopping baskets, waste paper bins, oval bottomed baskets, log barrels, plant climbers etc.

Venue:

We work from Satori, a Nature Based Off-grid Healing Retreat. Snacks and foraged herb teas throughout the day are included; bring a packed lunch.

Also, bring warm clothes as the barn is open-sided. Wear sensible footwear, the ground here is unlevel, and the compost loo is a 4-minute walk away across a meadow.

For Times, Dates & Costs:

See individual courses for specific timings & costs; finish times are always approximate and depend on how people get on, on the day.

We recommend you have the evening off after your day of weaving, because so much concentration can be tiring!! Having no other commitments on the day can also mean you relax in to the experience a little more...always a good thing!
