Sleep in a yurt
and reconnect with our nomadic ancestors
'This morning, I saw the most number of butterflies together I had ever seen ... [Satori] is a magical place ... More than ever in these troubled times for our planet and ecosystem we and all non-human life need the sanctuary of places like Satori [and Daisy yurt] to reconnect us to our profound, mostly neglected, sense of sacred belonging and love for Mother Earth.'
Welcome to Satori
Satori is set on the side of a gently south west sloping valley which levels out in the glade and woodlands where you'll find our endearing 21-foot Daisy yurt and the other camping pitches.
In Daisy, you'll find a comfy double bed and two singles. All linen and bedding is provided; you just need to bring your own towels. It is also equipped with a sofa, a dining table and, a wood burner to make the space really cosy.
You'll find an outside kitchen/porch on a raised deck with a camping gas stove, and all pots, pans, cutlery, plates etc. are there for you to use.
The yurt is comfortable, cosy and totally immersed in nature. The compost toilet is nearby although, wild peeing is encouraged!
Just 2-minutes walk away you'll find the communal washing up sink next to our quirky wood burning shower (eco products provided); and there is a dedicated tap for filtered drinking water from Satori's very own spring!
Here's what you need to know:
No loud parties
There is an outdoor fire pit for you to use
Bring your own food
A certain level of fitness is needed as there is no vehicle access to your pitch; it's about a 7-8 minute walk from the car park to Daisy
The small village of Churchinford is within walking distance (approx. 1.9 miles away), home to an English country pub, post office and community shop with Wi-Fi.
