Simple, off-grid and wild
Looking for a truly wild camping experience?
Welcome to Satori
With 22-acres of wild flower meadows, Satori is the perfect place to wild camp.
Here, you can immerse yourself in nature – without the crowds or modern amenities you’ll find at most campsites.
The nitty-gritty
When you wild camp you’ll have access to a compost toilet. Although wild peeing is encouraged!
You'll find the washing up sink next to our quirky wood burning shower (eco products provided); there is also a dedicated tap for filtered drinking water from Satori's very own spring!

Please keep noise to a minimum; no loud parties
No chemicals; only eco-friendly products
permitted for use
No pets
(Unless by prior agreement)
Tent colours must blend in with the environment
(greens, greys, etc.)
Always close gates securely due to livestock
Noise
Smeatharpe Stadium is a few miles away; sometimes car racing can be heard from Satori.
If you are particularly noise sensitive we suggest you contact the stadium directly to avoid booking on their race days.
Or, if you're up for a bit of raucous fun, spend a day out there!
Better still, take time out from work and make a weekday booking with us instead!
